I would have to say back in June 2003. I traveled to Wayfar for the first time in the game, on foot. Fun and scary journey. As I approached Wayfar, I heard what sounded like a battle. When I got closer, I noticed the sounds were coming from a battle going on in a Tusken Raider camp right outside of Wayfar. I headed over to check it out. There was a huge group of people fighting Sand People and Banthas.
They would all stand around chatting and having a great time while waiting for the Sand People to spawn. As soon as one would spawn, all heck would break loose. I got in on a few of the groups there to gain some very quick experience. This was back when you had to run back to your corpse after going to the cloning center. So it was always tricky when you died right in the middle of a group of Tusken Raiders. But that made it soooo much fun. It was also funny to see people running back to there corpse in the underwear.
All while this was going on, people would set up camps outside of the Tusken camp and everyone would just shoot the breeze and talk about the game or something they had seen or done. It made me feel really immersed in the Star Wars universe.
Later on, SOE removed the camp. But it was fun while it lasted.
Man those were such great times. I miss it.
